About the role

This includes the migration of active financial and grant transaction systems with high data volumes and complex business rules.
This role is primarily focused on data migration validation and reconciliation.
It is not a UI-focused or manual regression testing position.

Independently validate data migrated from legacy systems to the GMM platform using complex SQL queries.
Perform set-based comparisons (e.g., EXCEPT/MINUS logic, full outer joins) to identify missing, extra, or mismatched records.
Validate composite key integrity and multi-table joins based on mapping documentation.
Validate incremental loads versus full data loads.
Validate cross-platform migrations (e.g., Oracle to PostgreSQL, CSV to database).
Perform validation when direct source database access is unavailable, leveraging staged data, flat files, and documentation.
Validate schema alignment, data types, constraints, and field-level transformations.
Support checksum/hash total validation techniques where applicable.
Document defects and reconciliation findings clearly and concisely.
U.S. Citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

5+ years of hands-on SQL experience, including complex joins, subqueries, aggregates, and set-based comparisons.
Experience validating composite keys and multi-table relationships.
Experience identifying null-related discrepancies in outer joins.
Experience validating cross-platform migrations (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, CSV).
Experience supporting federal modernization programs.
Experience validating financial or grant-based transactional systems.
Familiarity with ETL processes and data staging environments.
Experience working in an Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) capacity.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable designing reconciliation strategies, performing set-based comparisons, validating composite keys, and identifying discrepancies across systems.
