About the role

  • The Safety Program Administrator is the strategic architect of our safety culture.
  • Regulatory Leadership: Act as the primary advisor for OSHA inspections-providing guidance before, during, and after visits to minimize risk and ensure total compliance.
  • Reporting Excellence: Oversee the lifecycle of OSHA 300/300A reporting, including annual production, electronic filing, and supporting Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver high-impact safety training for Company Presidents and staff.
  • Partner with local companies to optimize telematics data, integrating it into a cohesive safety strategy that demonstrates measurable improvements in driver behavior and fleet safety.
  • Build deep, professional relationships with local companies to foster a culture of cooperation, respect, and proactive safety participation.
  • This employee will design, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs across our nationwide network of local companies and distribution centers.
  • Curriculum Design: Create and deliver high-impact safety training for Company Presidents and staff.

  • Mentorship: Lead and develop the Safety Training Specialist, managing their performance and professional growth.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in occupational safety or risk management
  • Completion of advanced safety certification programs and a deep functional knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • A natural ability to promote and embed a "safety-first" mindset across diverse business units.
  • The ability to make informed, firm decisions under pressure or within tight time constraints.
  • Exceptional patience, perseverance, and the ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics.

Nice to have

  • Experience leveraging AI tools to automate workflows or enhance training materials.

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
  • Experience with IBM systems and specialized safety platforms (Otis/Summit) is preferred.
