About the role

  • This role oversees inspection, testing, and quality assurance functions to ensure that materials, components, and finished products meet established standards and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain the AS9100D-certified QMS, ensuring compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop Quality Engineers, Inspectors, and Supplier Quality staff
  • Develop, modify, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems for production and material processing.
  • Partner with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to establish and maintain process capability and control throughout manufacturing.
  • Lead internal audit, corrective/preventive action (CAPA), and management review processes.
  • Ensure effective management of document control, calibration, nonconformance, and traceability systems.
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce variation, improve process flow, and drive a zero-defect culture.
  • Recommend and implement new or improved quality control methods, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of progressive quality experience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing, including leadership responsibility.
  • In-depth knowledge of AS9100D, NADCAP, and ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • Proficiency with APQP, PPAP, FAI, SPC, MSA, and GD&T.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for audits, training, or supplier visits.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to drive corrective action and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver measurable results.
  • The base pay hiring rate expected for this position is: $135,000 - $160,000
  • This position is eligible to participate in an incentive plan. Metrics and level of participation are determined annually.

Compensation

  • $135,000 - $160,000
  • This position is eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
  • Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Hourly employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
