About the role

  • As a Senior Software Developer at 7shifts, you'll join our Growth squad, where the focus is on shipping experiments that improve our in-product activation, retention, and monetization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead other developers and the product, design, and engineering (PDE) squad in ideating, refining, and building minimum viable features
  • Implement robust tracking and analytics for new features, partnering with PMs and Analysts to review experiment results and user behavior data to iterate on the product

Requirements

  • A degree or diploma in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • The ability to take ambiguous business problems and turn them into lightweight, testable technical solutions
  • Comfort working in large, evolving codebases and improving existing systems over time
  • Experience mentoring other developers or leading technical discussions within a team
  • Sound technical judgment when balancing speed, quality, performance, and long-term maintainability
  • Clear communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners

Skills

  • Experience working with PLG experiment measurement tools like Growthbook, Statsig, or LaunchDarkly
  • Founding or early experience at a startup
  • But support goes beyond day one.

Compensation

  • The base compensation range for this position is CAD $130,000 to $180,000.
  • Compensation at 7shifts is performance and growth-driven.
