Responsibilities

  • Research and obtain deeds, plats, easements, right-of-way maps, and other records from county, state, and public sources to support survey projects.
  • Organize and review title reports, legal descriptions, and property documents to prepare for survey field work.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical project files, research documents, and CAD standards.
  • Assist in quality control by reviewing survey documents for accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
  • Support scheduling of survey activities to align research, drafting, and field needs.
  • Strong experience in property research through county/state records, title documents, and public databases.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in land surveying, drafting, or related research work.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar drafting/data processing software.
  • ability to travel to courthouses, agencies, or job sites when required.
  • Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field (preferred).

Nice to have

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • Preferred Skills Familiarity with GIS and online county/state mapping portals.
