About the role
- The CNC Machinist is responsible for machining precision optics using a variety of CNC machinery while following standard work instructions.
- As part of the Optical Manufacturing team, this role will play an integral part of the production lifecycle and have exposure to various optical manufacturing assignments.
Requirements
- Additionally, if you are a dual citizen (a citizen of the U.S. and another country), the Company must obtain approval for you to have access to the information required for this position.
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Familiarity with hand tools, manual measurement tools, computer-controlled test equipment, windows Explorer, Excel, and Word
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Strong math aptitude
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to speak up as appropriate while identifying and escalating issues as required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Fagor, Fanuc, Siemens, HEIDENHAIN, or similar CNC control systems is a plus
- Previous experience with Mastercam or Vericut is a plus
Compensation
- There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.

- The proposed salary range for this position is:
- $41,400 - $82,600
