About the role

  • It offers a full spectrum of water, waste, and energy management services, including water and wastewater treatment, commercial and hazardous waste collection and disposal, energy consulting and resource recovery.
  • Work Environment: Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Schedule: 4-day work weeks with 9-hour shifts on a rotating schedule across 3 teams to ensure 7-day operational coverage.
  • Salary: 61.16$/h The role necessitates working both indoors and outdoors for prolonged and frequent periods, exposing the individual to all weather conditions and extremes, as well as a waste environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support power generation and plant auxiliary equipment, including boiler, steam turbine and generator, by analyzing and resolving complex system issues to minimize downtime.
  • Interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, control system drawings, technical manuals, and blueprints to perform corrective maintenance, overhauls, and system improvements in accordance with codes and standards.
  • Manage maintenance documentation via the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate logging of tasks, work orders, parts usage, and time allocation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize equipment uptime, reliability, and support continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical/instrumentation issues and implement effective corrective actions while adhering to safety policies.

Requirements

  • Regular and sustained periods of strenuous physical exertion are required, including the ability to lift, carry, and position heavy objects using proper body mechanics and techniques.
  • Candidate selected must have Ability to kneel, crawl and climb and tolerate heights up to 75 feet and to tolerate confined spaces including but not limited to manholes and boilers and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting PLCs, DCS, and HMI systems.
