- Summary: The Engineer will be responsible for designing and analyzing advanced structural parts for air vehicles.

Responsibilities
- Own development of primary and secondary aircraft structural parts and assemblies (metallic and composite) from preliminary design through prototype manufacturing
- Perform complex modeling and finite element analysis at the detailed component level, major assembly level, and aircraft level (analysis simulations to include strength, buckling, damage tolerance, and delamination)
- Apply design for manufacturing concepts to create solutions that are cost effective and easy to manufacture at rate
- Coordinate engineering designs and systems with purchasing, suppliers, testing team, manufacturing team, other vehicle subsystems and functions
- Provide technical support and system analysis for root cause analysis of development issues
- Coordinate, lead and participate in design reviews
- Perform other duties as needed
- You will own the development cycle from concept to production, with detailed design and analysis of primary and secondary structures ensuring robust, high performance requirements are met.
- We partner with OEMs and suppliers across the mobility space, as well as clients in non-mobility industries, to deliver innovative solutions and accelerate product development.

Requirements
- Experience and proficiency in 3D designing and drawing Airframe in NX CAD.
- Experience with analysis using FEMAP.
- Experience with composites and FiberSim is beneficial.
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and tooling
- Travel as required
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus 5 years relevant experience.
Compensation
- Experience and proficiency in 3D designing and drawing Airframe in NX CAD.
- Experience with analysis using FEMAP.
- Strong technical knowledge in core engineering principles, fundamental mechanics of composite materials, design, analysis, testing, and fabrication
- Deep understanding of load paths, design practices, and hand calculations to design robust structurally efficient assemblies
- Proven ability to design high performance structures and execute their fabrication
- Experience with composites and FiberSim is beneficial.
