About the role

This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of critical database infrastructure while supporting cloud initiatives, production operations, and high-availability environments.

Be available for after-hours, weekend support, and participation in an on-call rotation.
This position plays a key role in database migrations, backup and recovery planning, performance tuning, production support, and ensuring high availability across Oracle environments.
The successful candidate will collaborate with technical teams to maintain stable, secure, and efficient database operations while supporting ongoing modernization efforts.
Database Administration Administer and maintain Oracle Database 19c and later environments.
Perform Oracle Grid Control 13c administration and monitoring.
Manage Oracle APEX administration and ongoing platform support.
Database Migration & High Availability Lead Oracle database migrations from Solaris to Linux environments.
Manage Oracle RMAN backup and recovery processes.
Configure and support Oracle Data Guard environments.
Maintain disaster recovery readiness and database resiliency.

10 years of experience performing Oracle database migration from Solaris to Linux (Oracle Database 11g/12c).
10 years of experience with Oracle database backup, recovery, RMAN, and Data Guard.
10 years of experience with Oracle database performance tuning, maintenance, and management.
10 years of experience providing production on-call support.
7 years of experience with Oracle Grid Control, including version 13c.
5 years of experience administering and supporting Oracle APEX.
Experience supporting Oracle Database 19c and newer versions.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
Must be available to participate in after-hours, weekend support, and on-call rotation.
Provide after-hours and weekend support as required by workload.

7 years of experience with Oracle WebLogic 12c / Fusion Middleware.
5 years of experience with Windows, SQL Server, and IIS administration.
3 years of experience with Oracle Cloud setup, AWS, or Azure administration.
Compensation This is a 1099 Contract role.
After-hours, weekend work, and participation in an on-call rotation are required based on workload.
