Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and integrate hardware on unmanned air vehicles
  • Develop and mature components from concept through production
  • Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production
  • Coordinate engineering designs and systems with purchasing, suppliers, testing team, manufacturing team, other vehicle subsystems and functions
  • Work with suppliers to create specifications and requirements of the components.
  • Provide technical support and system analysis for root cause analysis of development issues
  • Coordinate, lead and participate in design reviews
  • Perform other duties as needed
  • The Engineer will be responsible for design and integration of advanced hardware for air vehicles.
  • You will own the development cycle from concept to production, release, and launch of components, systems, and sub-systems for advanced air vehicles programs.

Requirements

  • Experience and proficiency in 3D designing mechanical parts in NX CAD.
  • Experience with analysis using FEMAP.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and tooling.
  • Travel as required

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus 5 years relevant experience.

Compensation

  • Experience integrating electrical and mechanical subsystems into advanced air vehicles
  • Experience and proficiency in 3D designing mechanical parts in NX CAD.
  • Experience with analysis using FEMAP.
  • Understanding of manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, composite lamination, etc)
  • High competence with, and fluid use of, engineering first principles
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and tooling.
