Responsibilities
- Design, develop and integrate hardware on unmanned air vehicles
- Develop and mature components from concept through production
- Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production
- Coordinate engineering designs and systems with purchasing, suppliers, testing team, manufacturing team, other vehicle subsystems and functions
- Work with suppliers to create specifications and requirements of the components.
- Provide technical support and system analysis for root cause analysis of development issues
- Coordinate, lead and participate in design reviews
- Perform other duties as needed
- The Engineer will be responsible for design and integration of advanced hardware for air vehicles.
- You will own the development cycle from concept to production, release, and launch of components, systems, and sub-systems for advanced air vehicles programs.
Requirements
- Experience integrating electrical and mechanical subsystems into advanced air vehicles
- Experience and proficiency in 3D designing mechanical parts in NX CAD.
- Experience with analysis using FEMAP.
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and tooling.
- Travel as required
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus 5 years relevant experience.
