About the role
- Assists with the plan, design, purchase, and implementation of machining processes and equipment in an industrial plant.
Responsibilities
- Assists with the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.
- Performs equipment engineering design evaluations and documents results
- may recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Works to improve equipment availability and capability by utilizing continuous improvement tools and working cross functionally.
- Collaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
- Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
- Drawing Interpretation - Integrates product design and manufacturing equipment engineering drawings to support the design and development of an optimal manufacturing process that meets product design specifications.
- Dimensional Metrology - Applies dimensional measurement science in the development and application of measurement/inspection processes that deliver capable measurement results, supporting design validation and conformity assessment meeting regulatory, customer and product requirements.
Requirements
- Designed for external candidates within 2 years of completing their highest level of degree (Bachelor, Master, PhD, MBA, or JD) from an accredited U.S. college/university, and currently reside within the continental U.S.
- International Student Eligibility (U.S. based roles): F-1 visa students must have approved Curricular Practical Training (CPT) or Occupational Practical Training (OPT) before their Early Career assignment begin.
- CPT/OPT must relate to their degree and be authorized by their university.
- College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.
- Basic level of relevant work experience required.
