About the role
- PLANNING ANALYST I Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Production Planner to join our Ashland, Inc. business at our Texas City, Texas manufacturing plant.
- This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the manufacturing function.
- This position will report to the Texas City Plant Manager.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional production planning / supply chain environment using MRP and ERP systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize, dependable and responsible to work independently
- Ability to identify critical issues and formulate action plans
- Capable and willing to work / receive calls outside of normal hours, weekends, and holidays, as may be required.
- Ability to respond appropriately during site emergencies as directed by the Site Emergency Manager.
- Ability to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment if required to work or visit within the manufacturing process area.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or APICS Certified Production and Inventory Manager (CPIM) certifications.
- Prior SAP planning, supply chain, and procurement experience.
