About the role
- Job duties include maintaining daily logs of system events, providing immediate verbal notifications of unusual activities to the appropriate personnel, preparing daily power nominations and reports.
- Overseeing the safe and reliable operations of wind, solar farm and battery assets.
- Monitoring real-time power output, performance, and energy yield of each generating facility.
Responsibilities
- Maintain detailed knowledge of generating units operating characteristics at all times, including availability, energy yield, and performance efficiency to effectively utilized units to fullest potential
Requirements
- 2 years of equivalent experience
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or relevant field.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Advanced knowledge of the company's energy management system
- Detailed knowledge of power systems, including transmission, load control, voltage control, frequency control, automatic generation control, and NERC performance standards
- Knowledge of generating unit operations, engineering, or maintenance practices
- Experience with multiple wind turbine supplier and solar PV technology desired
- Must have approved DOA on file with Risk Management
- Engage teammates in process of real-time operations and assure reporting proficiency
Nice to have
- Additional years of renewable generation dispatching experience are strongly preferred and will be given preference over other power industry experience
