Support the development, assessment, and implementation of prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery strategies within the homeland security mission space.
Analyze complex technical and operational issues, identify root causes, and develop recommendations to support decision-making and program objectives.
Develop technical reports, analytical products, briefings, and recommendations based on research findings and operational assessments.
Provide scientific and technical expertise in support of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) programs, research initiatives, and mission requirements.
Support program management activities by tracking project milestones, deliverables, and technical requirements.
Barbaricum is a rapidly growing government contractor providing leading-edge support to federal customers, with a particular focus on Defense and National Security mission sets.
The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop recommendations, support program objectives, and enhance preparedness and response capabilities for government customers

Must have an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Experience in the HS pillars of prevention and protection.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific, engineering, medical, veterinary, or public health field.
3-10 years of experience in a scientific, engineering, medical, veterinary, or public health field.
Experience supporting major programs or system development efforts related to human, animal, or plant health and medical consequences of CBRN events or a comb.
Operational scientific and technical analysis.
Ability to define and resolve system issues, performing analysis, and developing plans and requirements for further analysis.

The Journeyman Scientist will conduct research, technical analyses, and operational assessments related to CBRN hazards affecting human, animal, plant, and environmental health.
Coordinate with government stakeholders, researchers, engineers, public health professionals, and subject matter experts to support multidisciplinary projects and initiatives.
