About the role
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to join our team at Afero.
- As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the successful delivery of complex technical projects.
- Your exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills will be instrumental in ensuring project milestones are met while maintaining the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead program execution across diverse engineering teams (Firmware, Mobile, Cloud, and QA) to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software.
- Develop and maintain project plans, including tasks, timelines, resource allocation, and dependencies, using appropriate project management methodologies and tools.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and communication, fostering strong relationships with engineering, product management, operations, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, employing proactive strategies to address potential obstacles and maintain project momentum.
- Facilitate effective decision-making and conflict resolution, working collaboratively with stakeholders to drive consensus and achieve project objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Coordinate with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) and component suppliers to ensure technical requirements and quality standards are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar role, preferably in the IoT domain.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- candidates must be able to come into the Los Altos, CA office at least three days per week.

- Demonstrated experience managing complex, large-scale projects with multiple cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
