About the role

  • As an Associate on the HCP team, you will gain hands-on exposure to the full investment lifecycle-including sourcing, evaluating, executing, and monitoring private equity investments.
  • You will work closely with senior investment professionals, playing a meaningful role in both investment execution and portfolio management.
  • The role offers strong development opportunities with increasing responsibility based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Support due diligence on potential direct investment, co-investment and fund opportunities
  • Build and maintain dynamic and user-friendly financial models for valuation and return analysis
  • Support internal strategic initiatives including process improvements and knowledge sharing
  • Engage with internal stakeholders across legal, tax, and operations to support deal execution
  • These tools support our recruitment process but do not replace human judgment and decision-making.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking or private equity
  • University degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, or a quantitative field with strong academic performance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word;
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • knowledge of Capital IQ, Bloomberg, or other data tools is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance financial analysis, data synthesis, and productivity
  • experience with Capital IQ, Bloomberg, or other data and analytics platforms is considered an asset
  • Strong communication and writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex ideas clearly

Compensation

  • The actual base salary offered to the successful candidate may vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, individual's expertise and level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered.
  • $98,000 - $148,000 CAD
