About the role
- Café Aide Part-Time, Year-round, hourly Summary Description: This is a kitchen staff position.
Responsibilities
- Maintains clean serving areas and sets up cafeteria for timely service
Requirements
- Ability to stand, stoop, reach, and bend.
- Ability to stand for long periods and walk long distances
- Ability to lift, push and/or pull objects (up to approximately 50 pounds unassisted and up to approximately 100 pounds assisted)
- Ability to read small print
- Ability to work with and in the proximity of equipment with moving mechanical parts
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Ability to work around loud noise
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Serve Safe Food Handler's certification.
- Demonstrated skill and experience in the preparation and serving of food, especially in an elementary school setting

Skills
- Ability to read and follow all food safety and physical safety rules
- strong communication skills especially when interacting with scholars
- Exceptional personal hygiene
