About the role

  • Responds to burglar, panic, fire and Infant Abduction alarms as necessary.
  • Acts as a patient/Visitor/Employee/Student escorts when necessary. - Responds to escalating and combative patient and visitor situations and assists staff as necessary. - Parking lot standbys.

Responsibilities

  • Performs security related functions, including but not limited to standbys, motorist assistance, locks/unlocks, report writing, CCTV monitoring, patient assists. Acts as a patient/Visitor/Employee/Student escorts when necessary.
  • Parking lot standbys. Maintain employee vehicle registration and parking assignments.
  • Maintain patient valuables. Maintain lost and found for the organization.
  • Performs patient restraints under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Required for All Jobs
  • Attends workshops, classes, and seminars to maintain their proficiency and assure a safe environment for patients, visitors and employees.
  • Workspace is a quiet and distraction-free allowing the ability to comply with all security and privacy standards.

Nice to have

  • High School Diploma / GED Required
  • 1 year Security, law enforcement, paid fire or other emergency service experience.
  • Experience with de-escalation techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and guidelines. (Required proficiency)

Skills

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to write routine reports. (Required proficiency)
  • Verbal and written communication skills. (Required proficiency)
  • Knowledge of network, system, and application security. (Required proficiency)
  • Drivers License
  • DMV Current Valid Driver's License and Clean MVR with 3-year baseline and annual MVR review. Required

Compensation

  • Drivers License - DMV Current Valid Driver's License and Clean MVR with 3-year baseline and annual MVR review.
