About the role

  • The role serves as a main point of contact for Wealth Management for investment and portfolio management.
  • Primary responsibilities include meeting with Advisors to consult on portfolio strategy, objectives, and ensuring accurate completion of investment implementations.
  • This role is deeply involved in the investment process, serving as a point person for newly acquired firms assimilating to our investment platform and models.

Responsibilities

  • The Portfolio Consultant III will drive investment management services for Wealth Advisors.
  • Deliver an excellent experience to our Wealth Advisor Teams in developing and implementing investment strategies
  • Support new Portfolio Consultants with developing core competencies within investment platform.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of capital markets and portfolio design & management.
  • Manage Efficient Process & Workflows
  • Collaborate with key central teams to coordinate process improvement.
  • Manage portfolio implementations concurrently to meet or exceed Service Level Agreements
  • Lead the training of new hires, ensuring the team is well-prepared to deliver exceptional investment management services.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to work both independently as well as within a team on multiple time-sensitive projects with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively match Advisor implementation goals with available investment strategies.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred (preferably Business, Economics, Psychology, or Finance related)
  • CFP ® and/or Series 65 required
  • CFA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of financial industry related experience
  • Working knowledge of Orion and Morningstar preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel preferred, including advanced data analytics
  • Strong problem-solving experience and skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and highly collaborative approach
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks

Compensation

  • $76,500 - $90,000 USD
  • Actual base pay within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the applicant's geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills and licenses/certifications.
  • This position is also eligible to earn incentive compensation through one of Mercer Advisors' incentive compensation programs.
