About the Positions We're seeking Senior CEI Inspector professionals who will provide Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) services for transportation projects located in the state of Georgia.
This is an advanced level technical work supporting engineers in functional areas of structure and roadway construction inspection; materials sampling, inspection and testing.
Work usually involves a fairly wide range of decision making and use of judgment and may include providing work direction to others.

May perform project engineering duties in lieu of the Project Engineer on smaller construction projects with construction let amounts less than $10,000,000.

4+ years of progressive transportation technician experience as an employee or consultant for a State Highway Agency, or an equivalent combination of training and directly related experience.
Thorough knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in highway construction.
Considerable knowledge of mathematical functions, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry related to highway and transportation engineering.
Ability to read, interpret, and explain construction plans, contract provisions, specifications, and inspection procedures.
Ability to take notes and prepare or review reports.
Ability to supervise and coordinate the activities of lower-level employees.
Must be licensed to operate motor vehicles in accordance with Georgia Law.
Proficiency with computers (e.g., Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Outlook, internet, etc.).
Required Certifications
May perform contract administration duties, including field measurements of pay items and completion of Department-required documentation.
