About the role

  • The Electronics Technician III uses advanced skills and tools along with extensive working knowledge of defined standard operating procedures to complete assignments.
  • They receive minimal supervision of work processes and provide instruction to less experienced technicians.
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS: Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities

  • They use their experience to determine the best methods and develop new work processes.
  • You will support the development of prototype and concept vehicles, with a strong focus on vehicle electrification, autonomous vehicles, and unmanned vehicle platforms.
  • Understand and follow IPC 620C wire harness build processes.
  • 5+ years of electronic harness build, test, or repair experience.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, tasks relating to the following area will be assigned as required.
  • Ability to work on vehicles and equipment (including installation of electrical components and wiring directly onto vehicles), including on top of, underneath, and confined spaces.
  • High voltage system safety experience.

Skills

  • Interpret engineering schematics, pin schedules, and loom drawings to construct quality wiring harnesses.
  • Maintain clean and organized work environment.
  • Manage and procure inventory.
  • Troubleshoot wire harnesses.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Must be able to identify color-coded wires and ID labels.
  • Apply knowledge of electrical theory and concepts.
  • Mil Spec harness build experience is preferred.
  • Printed circuit board assembly and repair experience.
