About the role
- Sentara Health is searching for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the team at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in the Emergency Department.
- This is a 41-bed Level III Trauma ED with 6 beds dedicated to a lock down psychiatric screening and treatment area.
- We are a stroke certified ED and receive STEMI and psychiatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Maintains all certifications and licensure relevant to clinical practice setting.
- LPN manages responsibilities of workload with accuracy, provides excellence in customer service, performs testing, medication administration and the implementation of nursing interventions and care plans to support a holistic approach to patient care.
Requirements
- LPN experience in a hospital setting required
Nice to have
- previous experience in emergency medicine preferred
