About the role
- The institutional projects range in scale and complexity, from smaller Functional Programming and Business Case scopes to major renovations and additions.
- Accountable for ensuring appropriate utilization, workload planning and forecasting
- Promote quality issues with all team members and ensure that the quality control function is effectively performed and embedded as a standard in the team
Responsibilities
- Leads a team, ensuring members receive adequate training, support and development opportunities
- Assure adequate field review services are provided to ensure adherence of contract documents
- Act as the firm representative and maintain good relationships with clients, project stakeholders, associations, government bodies and other entities
- Builds and manages their own key clients and monitors key pursuits/opportunities
- Implements programs to improve the quality of service, products, and systems to meet clients' requirements, minimize costs, and maximize the firm's competitive position
- The Senior Associate is responsible for managing their respective Project Design Team.
- They are fully responsible and accountable for their design team staff, regularly review staffing and distribute tasks effectively and consistently with staff skillsets.
- By providing technical support and management resources, the Senior Associate ensures that design decision-making and team management accountability take place.

Requirements
- Experience leading and designing institutional projects
- Experience responding to RFPs and writing Business Cases
- University degree, college/technology diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Is a discipline lead on projects with minimal peer/technical support required
- 10+ years design experience in HV, LV, control and lighting design experience
- Has led a team
- Professional Engineer (PEng), Applied Science Technologist (AScT), or equivalent
- LEED® Accredited professional designation or other relevant rating or performance system is desired

Compensation
- As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $125,000-155,000 annually for this position and local market.
- Monitors and assists with keeping team performance at or above the annual plan
