About the role
- KBI Biopharma is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Level Analytical Scientist to join our Analytical and Formulation Sciences (AFS) team in Boulder, CO.
- This role is ideal for a PhD-level scientist with deep expertise in protein analytics by LC-MS.
Responsibilities
- Design and strategically execute analytical experiments in support of biotherapeutics Process Development.
- Design and implement analytical strategies to support product development and regulatory submissions.
- Perform peer reviews of data and reports related to method development, qualification, and validation.
- Manage timelines and resources to meet project milestones.
- You will serve as a subject matter expert (SME), driving innovation and excellence in analytical testing by mass spectrometry to support integrated client programs from early development through commercialization.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemical Engineering and 4+ years of experience for Senior
- Ph.D and 6+ years of experience for Principal
- Adhere to all safety requirements and assure that departmental employees comply with required safety procedures.
- Strong understanding of protein structure, aggregation, and higher-order structure analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in scientific software and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of the Process Development functional area with some aptitude in one or more downstream (purification) operations (chromatography, TFF, refold, conjugation) a plus
Compensation
- Senior: $118,000-$148,000
- Principal: $133,000-$167,000
