About the role

  • University Health Network (UHN) is looking for an experienced transformative leader to fill the key role of Manager of Professional Practice.
  • The temporary assignment is aligned with Altum, Laboratory Medicine, Medical Imaging, and our Discipline Head structure.
  • The role focuses on the integration of care, patient safety and quality; and the use of technology to enable care, teaching and research.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other site DPPs, MPPs, other practice and operations leaders to ensure that practice standards are aligned and integrated, where possible, across programs, and organization wide
  • Lead service and program and select corporate initiatives based on the current and evolving patient care and practice standards

Requirements

  • This may evolve as required with department or UHN evolutions.
  • Completion of Master's Degree
  • A minimum of 8 years practical and related experience
  • A minimum of 5 years demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience
  • Ability to think strategically at the global organizational level, as well as at the program, site, unit and individual levels
  • Broad knowledge of overall hospital structure, operating policies and decision-making processes
  • Excellent knowledge of quality improvement principles and practices

Nice to have

  • Cross appointment with a UHN affiliated College or University preferred
  • Project Management experience preferred

Compensation

  • $56k-$84k
