Responsibilities
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all procedures, rules and regulations.
- Support operations departments and facility, ensuring equipment safety, availability and reliability.
- Proactively identify sources of operating difficulties and collaborate with the maintenance engineer to develop and implement the process or equipment changes.
- Utilize an advanced understanding of machine controls to troubleshoot and repair existing systems, review existing logic for issues and collaborate with controls engineer to correct.
- Perform repair work using fabrication skills, including manual machine shop equipment including but not limited to lathes, end mills, welding and soldering equipment, plasma cutter, sheet metal brake and band saw.
- Maintains continuity among maintenance department by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs between individuals and shifts.
Requirements
- Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and project work orders as assigned, using required and approved processes.
- This may include, but not be limited to, evaluating and planning the required work, ordering material and execution of the work.
- Completes all required paperwork in a timely manner.
