About the role
- Sentara is currently hiring a Patient Care Technician to work at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on the Oncology Unit.
- 2 South Oncology at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is a 26-bed unit that takes pride in providing exceptional, quality care.
- Our unit works with all cancers, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma treatment, radiation, gynecologic cancers, hematologic disorders, end of life patients.
Responsibilities
- Sentara Care Partner Certification Program, or
- Patient Care Technicians are unlicensed staff members who are accountable to, and work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to implement delegated aspects of nursing care.
- Provide patient care, support the admissions and discharge process, and comply with patient safety practices under the direction of the professional nurse.
