Job Description Job Title: Aerothermal Engineer Working Pattern: Fulltime Working location: Indianapolis, IN An Exciting opportunity for an Aero Engineer has arisen within our Programmes and Capability development teams.

This role involves working with a range of key business stakeholders to support the delivery of key programme milestones thus enabling the delivery of our Defence strategy for the next 50 years.

Design, analyze, and simulate various gas turbine system components and sub-systems using a variety of methodologies, including meanline, throughflow, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
Work with performance organization and system level design to define, understand, and interpret sub-system requirements and issue sub-system performance maps and bids.
Work with aeromechanics, heat transfer, and mechanical design communities to understand interface with aerodynamic design
Support the wider aerodynamics disciplines with capability acquisition via methods and coding, technology plans, and collaborating in the communities of practice.

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics or Math with 2+ years of experience of Thermodynamics or Aerodynamics, OR
PhD degree in Engineering, Physics or Math
