About the role
- DS is currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer & Branch Manager, Ottawa to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations and overall management of DS's office.
Requirements
- University degree in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Science from recognized institution
- Must be a registered and practicing Professional Engineer in Ontario
- 8 to 10 years of experience in the Geotechnical, Materials Testing and construction industry
- Ability to travel between DS offices and sites within Ontario
- All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Strong project management, client management, and business development skills
- Proven leadership and team building experience
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English
- Organized, works well under pressure and able to multi-task is essential
- Must own a vehicle with insurance coverage and hold a Valid (G-Level) Ontario Driver's License
- Flexible to work on a wide variety of projects, tasks, and assignments, responding easily to changing priorities
Nice to have
- Prior experience with running branch office or division is preferred
