About the role

  • DS is currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer & Branch Manager, Ottawa to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations and overall management of DS's office.

Requirements

  • University degree in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Science from recognized institution
  • Must be a registered and practicing Professional Engineer in Ontario
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in the Geotechnical, Materials Testing and construction industry
  • Ability to travel between DS offices and sites within Ontario
  • All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Strong project management, client management, and business development skills
  • Proven leadership and team building experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English
  • Organized, works well under pressure and able to multi-task is essential
  • Must own a vehicle with insurance coverage and hold a Valid (G-Level) Ontario Driver's License
  • Flexible to work on a wide variety of projects, tasks, and assignments, responding easily to changing priorities

Nice to have

  • Prior experience with running branch office or division is preferred
