About the role
- You will be working closely with teams across a wide array of disciplines including cryogenics, optics, electronics, and manufacturing.
- You will be expected to apply DFM principles on an everyday basis.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of designs from prototype to production.
- Expertise in Design for Manufacturability, Design for Assembly.
- Generate and maintain process flow documentation.
- Fixture design & fabrication.
- Test set-up design & fabrication.
- Generate & maintain BOM's & build standards.
- Ability to execute basic structural and thermal analyses to down-select designs.
Requirements
- Experience in designing mechanical assemblies for opto-electronic devices (i.e. optical transceivers or co-packaged optics and/or datacenter switching system.
- Master's Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- 2-5 years of experience, with a focus on optomechanical design and/or optoelectronic packaging.
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to support colleagues to achieve team objectives.
- Exercises independent Judgement.
- Continuous learning mindset.
- Execution of deliverables against schedule & quality targets.
