Responsibilities
- Conduct acoustic and vibration measurements, analyze data, and develop modelling predictions.
- Review acoustic design of buildings.
- Support the development of new models, tools, and analytical methods.
- Maintain positive, professional communication with clients, and regulators.
- Contribute to SLR's strong industry reputation through excellent delivery and relationship building.
- Support business development efforts, including preparing proposals, gathering project information, and assisting senior staff in client engagements.
Requirements
- Degree or technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, physics, or related studies.
- Experience (co op, internship, or early career) in acoustics, noise, and vibration is considered an asset.
- Experience with acoustic modelling tools (e.g., Insul, CadnaA, CATT, Odeon, EASE, SAP2000, Visual Basic, MATLAB or Python for signal processing) is an asset.
- Knowledge of provincial, local, and industry specific regulations and guidelines.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel periodically to job sites.

- Understanding of noise and vibration measurement, prediction, or evaluation methodologies is considered an asset.
- Strong communication, problem solving skills, and a collaborative mindset.

- Based in Guelph, ON with flexible work options available.
Compensation
- The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000. Final agreed-upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.
