About the role

  • As a Senior Accountant at our biopharmaceutical company, you will be a key player in managing and overseeing our financial operations.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, preparing detailed financial reports, and supporting our month-end close process.
  • The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, preferably within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, and experience working in a public company or public accounting firm.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct complex account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger, adhering to public company standards and regulations. This includes handling research and development accruals, intercompany account reconciliations, and elimination entries
  • Lead the month-end close processes in compliance with public company requirements, accounting for research and development studies, and reviewing various account balances and transactions
  • Collaborate with the Business and Finance teams to analyze expense trends and provide valuable insights for decision-making
  • Support the implementation of financial systems and process improvements, focusing on aligning with public company standards and enhancing accounting controls and processes

Requirements

  • Master's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field and/or CPA certification, with at least 2 years of similar experience mentioned above
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and expertise in accounting operations for public companies, especially research and development accruals and intercompany accounting
  • Proficiency in industry-standard accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and preferably NetSuite accounting system, in alignment with public company financial best practices

Compensation

  • The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $97,000.00-$133,000.00.
