NinjaTrader's growing Design organization is seeking an experienced, highly skilled, and collaborative Senior Design System Designer.
Working closely with our Design Systems Lead, you'll help evolve and scale our design system while enabling designers and engineers to build high-quality, consistent experiences across our trading platform.
You'll combine exceptional visual design craft with systems thinking, partnering across Product, Engineering, and Design to improve efficiency, accessibility, and product quality.
Partner with the Design Systems Lead to evolve and scale NinjaTrader's design system across web, desktop, and mobile experiences
Create, document, and maintain high-quality reusable UI components, patterns, templates, and interaction guidelines
Maintain and extend design token architecture that supports scalable implementation across platforms
Collaborate directly with Engineering to ensure design system components are accurately implemented and maintained in Storybook and production
Build and optimize Figma libraries, variables, plugins, automation, and AI-assisted workflows to streamline design operations
Support product designers by providing guidance, documentation, onboarding, and best practices for using the design system effectively
Contribute to governance processes that ensure the design system evolves intentionally while supporting product velocity

7+ years of experience in UX, UI, or Product Design, including at least 2 years focused on design systems
Expert proficiency in Figma, including components, variables, auto layout, libraries, and modern workflow automation
Strong understanding of design tokens, component architecture, and design-to-development workflows
Experience balancing consistency with product flexibility across multiple teams and products
Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills with the ability to influence without direct authority

Experience with Supernova, Zeroheight, or a similar design system documentation software
Experience with composable component libraries (e.g. shadcn/ui)
Experience in fintech, trading platforms, or other complex data-rich applications

The salary range for this role will be $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 USD.
In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of 10%.
Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%).
Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader.
Annual paid time off allowance accrues at a rate of 18 days per year plus seven paid holidays.
All offered compensation will be based on assessed experience and is subject to change at the offer stage.
