Responsibilities
- NinjaTrader's growing Design organization is seeking an experienced, highly skilled, and collaborative Senior Design System Designer.
- Working closely with our Design Systems Lead, you'll help evolve and scale our design system while enabling designers and engineers to build high-quality, consistent experiences across our trading platform.
- You'll combine exceptional visual design craft with systems thinking, partnering across Product, Engineering, and Design to improve efficiency, accessibility, and product quality.
- Partner with the Design Systems Lead to evolve and scale NinjaTrader's design system across web, desktop, and mobile experiences
- Create, document, and maintain high-quality reusable UI components, patterns, templates, and interaction guidelines
- Maintain and extend design token architecture that supports scalable implementation across platforms
- Collaborate directly with Engineering to ensure design system components are accurately implemented and maintained in Storybook and production
- Build and optimize Figma libraries, variables, plugins, automation, and AI-assisted workflows to streamline design operations
- Support product designers by providing guidance, documentation, onboarding, and best practices for using the design system effectively
- Contribute to governance processes that ensure the design system evolves intentionally while supporting product velocity
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in UX, UI, or Product Design, including at least 2 years focused on design systems
- Expert proficiency in Figma, including components, variables, auto layout, libraries, and modern workflow automation
- Strong understanding of design tokens, component architecture, and design-to-development workflows
- Experience balancing consistency with product flexibility across multiple teams and products
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
Nice to have
- Experience with Supernova, Zeroheight, or a similar design system documentation software
- Experience with composable component libraries (e.g. shadcn/ui)
- Experience in fintech, trading platforms, or other complex data-rich applications

Compensation
- The salary range for this role will be $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 USD.
- In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of 10%.
- Bonus pay at NinjaTrader is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%).
- Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered by NinjaTrader.
- Annual paid time off allowance accrues at a rate of 18 days per year plus seven paid holidays.
- All offered compensation will be based on assessed experience and is subject to change at the offer stage.
