About the role

  • At Northwestern Medicine, every patient interaction makes a difference in cultivating a positive workplace.
  • This position is a non-licensed staff member who assists the professional staff with patient care as defined by those activities that do not require the clinical decision making.
  • This staff member assists the business office with clerical and maintenance duties and selected tasks related to the operation of the Rehabilitation Services Department.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly, cleans equipment according to standards.
  • Independently maintains all equipment cleaning logs and performs monthly maintenance.
  • Manages department specific Rehabilitation Services Call List and communication needs.
  • Posts payments, process billing information and perform "end of day" cash drawer closing.
  • Manages faxing documentation to insurance companies and/or physician offices for authorization and signatures for Plan of Care as appropriate.
  • Manages clinic inventory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
