About the role
- Trane Technologies is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer II in Hastings, NE.
- In this role, you will coordinate, organize and supervise production process methods and engineering activities that enable production.
- This includes sustaining engineering, new product launch processes and continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities
- Drives engineering principles and discipline through mentoring, training and project reviews including: PFMEA, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Dynamic Control Plans (DCP), Lean Tools, Project Management and Simultaneous Engineering
- Manages, develops and improves manufacturing standards including: machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings and cycle times.
- The position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining production processes to drive quality and efficiency and to develop manufacturing plans which improve operations competitiveness.
Requirements
- 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred. Candidates with 3-5 years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered.
- Ability to quickly assess manufacturing issues related to design and tolerancing
- Knowledge of basic design and manufacturing datum development and its effect in manufacturing processes
