About the role

  • Build and maintain reliable, scalable software systems that support Bankrate's business objectives.
  • Engineers own delivery for well-scoped projects, contribute to architectural discussions, and continuously improve systems, processes, and team performance through collaboration and strong technical execution.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable systems or product features.
  • Contribute to system and API design, ensuring alignment with team standards and best practices.
  • Scope, estimate, and deliver technical solutions independently with minimal oversight.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to clarify requirements and ensure alignment on priorities.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of software architecture, data modeling, and design patterns.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance tradeoffs in scalability, maintainability, and performance.

Compensation

  • This range reflects total cash compensation, which may include base salary only or base salary plus target bonus, depending on the role.
  • Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.
  • Total Cash Compensation Range: $80,000 - $140,000 per year
