Requirements
- Candidates currently enrolled in college and working towards a BS degree in the fields above with hours exceeding an Associate Degree.
- Job Experience/Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrate the ability to work and communicate effectively across departmental lines including working with USDA personnel.
- Candidates with the following education and/or experience will be considered in the following descending order:
- Associate Degree in Chemistry, Food Science/Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT ASCP certification required).
- At least 4 college verifiable level courses (C average or better) in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or Food Science/Technology.
- Experience in a food industry laboratory or medical laboratory (not class work related).
- Understand and perform HACCP data, chemistry and microbiology analysis.
- Mathematical skills: basic, algebraic, and formulas.
Nice to have
- LIMS system experience a plus.
- BS degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Food Science/Technology preferred
