About the role

- This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company's locations: Summit Club, set outside of Las Vegas, NV.
- Summit Club is seeking a Equipment Operator to join the Department Department.
Responsibilities
- Performs hand mowing or hand trimming work.
- Performs renovations and construction work, i.e. shoveling and raking.
- Performs cleaning procedures and manual labor tasks.
- Performs janitorial work in cleaning and maintaining a building.
- a world-class Tom Fazio-designed golf course and practice facility
Requirements
- Knowledge of large and small engine operation and repair.
- Knowledge of hydraulic powered machine operation and repair.
- Long hours may be required due to business demands.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
- Performs other related groundwork as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Prior experience working on a golf course maintenance team or similar construction experience.

- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

- Operates all types of equipment including utility vehicles, flymos, mechanical sand trap rakes, aerifiers, sprayers, turf vacs, skip loaders and sprayers.
- Mows greens, tees, fairways and rough with small power mowers, trimmers, greens mower, tee mowers, fly-mos and backpack blowers on designated area of the golf course.
- Rakes and manicures desert landscape and rakes sand traps.
- Loads and unloads materials.
- Excavates and back fills ditches and trenches with hand tools.
- Rakes and manicures transition areas.
- Lays sod.
- Participates in annual over-seeding of the golf course.
- Assists in construction of new greens, tees and fairways.
- Cleans drains and culverts.
- Sweeps cart paths.
