Maintain barley trials in a field and greenhouse setting. This position primarily works in early generation utilizing both traditional and speed breeding techniques.
Assist in the collection, processing, and storage of seeds, including seed cleaning, handling, and packaging. Maintain seed inventory and ensure proper labeling and organization.
Conduct tissue sampling for genetic screening to support our breeding programs.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of experimental procedures, observations, and results. Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations to communicate findings and progress to research teams and stakeholders.
This position will report to the Pre-breeding and Early Generation manager and will play a crucial role in our efforts to develop high-quality barley varieties for our growers, maltsters, and breweries worldwide.
We use both traditional and genetic breeding techniques to develop innovative barley varieties that meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability.

Monitor crop health and ensure minimum quality standards utilizing fertilizers, herbicides, and other chemical treatments when necessary.
