About the role
- Kimball Equipment is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Shop Service Technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and prepare crushing, screening, and aggregate equipment within the shop.
- The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on crushing, screening, and aggregate equipment in the shop.
- Conduct detailed equipment inspections and document findings.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Assist Field Service Technicians with troubleshooting support and occasional field work if needed.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in tear-downs and rebuilds.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in a shop environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- technical/vocational training preferred.
- 2+ years of mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic repair experience (heavy equipment industry preferred).
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
