About the role

The Du Quoin, IL facility produces low & medium voltage power cables.
Using thorough up-to-date knowledge of the process and equipment for which they are responsible, plans work and production for the shift.
Observe and hold associates accountable for safety adherence, efficiency, overall production performance, following instructions and procedures to reduce scrap usage and waste.

Support and ensure associates and the manufacturing function(s) adhere and utilize fully all lean tools including those in PG1OPS (6S, Visual Management, RTFT and Tier Communication).
Perform other tasks that are reasonable to the job as requested by Direct Management.
Good understanding of business principles and practices; functions as a change agent who can effectively manage manufacturing to achieve positive bottom line results.

Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing management environment.
Must have good attention to detail.
Must be able to manage multiple, complex tasks and deal easily with pressure on a day in and day out basis.
Must be able to motivate, communicate and drive continuous improvement.
Must be adaptable, professional demeanor responding to change.
High School degree or equivalent is required

4+ years of experience in manufacturing setting
1-3 years supervisory experience leading a large team in a manufacturing setting highly preferred
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Good written and oral communication skills.
Solid planning, leadership, computer and administrative skills.
Strong project management skills.
