The position is considered a working supervisor where some of your time will be working on drawings.
Work at this level generally involves more advanced drafting assignments.

Responsibilities

Supervisor, Design Engineering
As the drafting supervisor, you will lead and guide a team of drafting professionals.
In this role, you will support existing Curtiss-Wright products as well as new product development.
Creates and modifies detailed drawings using CAD/CAM hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering.
Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation.
Performs drafting checks for other drafters to ensure drawings meet Curtiss-Wright drafting standards.
May be asked to provide work guidance to lower-level positions, or engineers that may assist with drafting and design on occasions.
6+ years design experience.
Knowledge of engineering materials, fabrication processes, design for manufacturing and assembly principles.
Experience developing drafting standards.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience leading or managing a team of individual contributors
Proficiency utilizing 2D and 3D CAD tools to create engineering deliverables

Required travel time is less than 5%

Compensation

$ 89,100.00 - $118,800.00 per year plus bonus
