  • Job Title EHS Manager Responsible for managing activities related to environmental, health, and safety control.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, implements, and coordinates programs to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, deaths, and regulatory risk.
  • Identifies and appraises conditions which could produce accidents and liability; proactively develops strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Develops accident-prevention programs for incorporation into operational policies of organization.
  • Maintains liaison with outside organizations, such as fire departments, to assure information exchange and mutual assistance.
  • Participates in continuous improvement efforts. Supports and helps to implement new ideas.

Requirements

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively

Nice to have

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years related work experience or 10 years related work experience.
  • Active member of an EHS-related professional association.
  • Certified as an ASP/CSP/CHMM/CIH or an active learner who demonstrates deep knowledge of EHS issues.
  • Preferred: Active member of an EHS-related professional association.

  • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple ongoing tasks
  • Proficient in internal and external networking.

Compensation

  • USD 96,600.00 - USD 127,000.00
  • Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.

  • Manages all environmental, health and safety activities that are required by Federal, State, Provincial, and various local government entities.
  • Provides environmental, health and safety training as required by company policy and regulatory authorities.
  • Manages and improves the facility's environmental, health and safety management system, based on ISO 14001 and 45001.
  • Tracks environmental, health and safety performance.
