About the role
- We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator to set up, operate, and maintain CNC turning machines to produce high-precision metal components. The ideal candidate has strong machining knowledge, can work independently, and consistently meets quality and production standards.
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision metal parts
Responsibilities
- Maintain tight tolerances and surface finish requirements
- Perform routine maintenance and keep machines and work areas clean
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC lathes in a metal manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
- Experience machining metals such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and alloys
- The ideal candidate has strong machining knowledge, can work independently, and consistently meets quality and production standards.
- make offsets and tool changes as required
Nice to have
- CNC setup experience (tooling, offsets, first-article inspection)
- Basic CNC programming or editing experience (G-code)
- Experience with multi-axis or live tooling lathes
- Technical certification or vocational training in machining
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity for detailed inspection
