About the role
- Licensed Electrician Pay Status and Classification: Non-exempt, Regular full-time, In-Person; This position is not eligible for relocation assistance or visa sponsorship.
- Works with various departments in order to achieve common goals and desires.
- Conducts monthly preventive maintenance in order to minimize equipment downtime. - Projects: Plans and lays out work accordingly with knowledge and understanding of reading blue prints.
Requirements
- Five years as a Journeyman Electrician, experience in residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of medium voltage three phase systems (13.2KV), WYE/DELTA and low voltage systems (24, 120, 208, 277, and 480v).
- Strong understanding and application of the National Electrical Code, NFPA, and OSHA standards on electrical and work safety procedures.
- E-Verify Participation: Union College participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the United States.
- High school diploma, two-year technical trade school, or apprenticeship program, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience.
- Computer skills including (Word, Excel, and Adobe).
- Available for round-the-clock emergency response both on and off campus.

Compensation
- The hourly range for this position is $31.00-33.00 per hour.
- Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
- The stated hiring rate/range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
