Requirements
- Additional hours may be required when school is not in session or is only in session for half of the day.
- CPR/AED (Child & Adult) certification required
- ability to remain composed in high-stress or emergency situations
- Self-motivated with the ability to follow through on tasks, work independently, and take direction from supervisors
- Associate's Degree in Education, Recreation, or related field; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum three years of experience working with or supervising children in a childcare or program setting; supervisory experience preferred
- Must pass Illinois Criminal Background Check (ISP fingerprint), DCFS CANTS screening, and TB test; CPR/AED (Child & Adult) certification required
- Strong ability to work with school-aged children and maintain positive relationships with staff, families, and the public
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and customer service skills; ability to remain composed in high-stress or emergency situations
Nice to have
- Minimum three years of experience working with or supervising children in a childcare or program setting
