- Plains has an immediate opening for a Project Engineer in our Midland, Texas office.
Responsibilities
- Resolve design and construction conflicts, drive project performance.
- Develop and issue project reports as needed for both internal and external distribution.
- We own an extensive network of pipeline transportation, terminalling, storage and gathering assets in key oil producing basins and transportation corridors and at major market hubs in the United States and Canada.
- Reporting to the Reporting to the Manager, Operations Technical Support, you will focus on project engineering, management, and construction completion, ensuring the successful execution of Plains' capital investment and capital maintenance programs.
Requirements
- Experience with a pipeline company considered an asset.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of their employment
- Pipeline and Terminal project, or operational experience are considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of the Engineering Design Process.
- Ability to multi-task and perform highly detailed work under changing intensive deadlines.
- Aptitude for analyzing and solving complex problems.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are a must.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
- Cleared criminal history (background) check and satisfactory reference checks.
- Compliance with the company's Drug & Alcohol Policy including pre-employment testing.
- Valid state driver's license and driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.

Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management required, Mechanical or Civil focus preferred.
