About the role
- Sony Pictures Imageworks is located on the unceded traditional territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.
- As a Texture Artist, your responsibilities include maintaining consistency in artistic direction, collaborating with different departments, and addressing challenges related to texturing.
- Additionally, you contribute to the development and improvement of texturing processes within the pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Work with other asset departments to create realistic or stylised textures for 3D assets of various styles and complexities
- Collaborate with Lookdev artists to achieve the desired look
- Follow the project's art direction and style guides, and contribute your own ideas and suggestions
- Deliver high-quality work on time and participate in reviews
- Maintain references and use proper colorspace workflows
Requirements
- Please note that you must be able to provide a demo reel that illustrates your relevant artistic and technical experience that also includes the nuances for this specific role.
Nice to have
- Basic Nuke experience a plus
Compensation
- The anticipated base salary for an Associate position is $25.96 to $34.62/hr and for an Intermediate position is $36.06 - $48.08/hr.
- The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
