About the role

- As a Heavy Equipment Technician with the Maricopa County Equipment Services Department, you will play a vital role in keeping our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and specialized equipment running safely and efficiently.

Requirements
- May be required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods

Compensation
- $30.75 - $44.00 hourly
- Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.
- The position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.
- Employees will receive a provisional salary set at 5% below the minimum rate for the position until the required Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) certification is obtained.

- Two years of heavy-duty and off-road equipment mechanic experience
- High school diploma or GED
