About the role
- Prepare month end close procedures on a timely basis which includes preparing journal entries in the general ledger and analyzing variances in account balances.
- This involves ongoing communication with various groups within the company, including the Loan Servicing Team, Cash and Deposit Operations, and Human Resources.
- Contribute to special projects and ad hoc requests.
Responsibilities
- Manage and improve the documentation procedures around the assigned activities.
- Drive audit compliance within the areas for which you are responsible.
- Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Staff Accountant is to support the corporate controller's team.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate is a "self-starter", with the ability to work independently with limited supervision, keeping all relevant parties apprised of developments.
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA or CPA seeking candidate
- PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- Good working knowledge of GAAP and bank accounting principles.
- 1-3 years in a banking environment.
- Finxact core banking and Prologue general ledger is a +.
- Potential Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 annually

Compensation
